Ted Lasso's Words of Wisdom
By Alec Bojalad
Season 2 of Ted Lasso is here! When you need a healthy dose of optimism, Coach Ted Lasso is here to help, and we love him for it.
Ted Lasso (and the show bearing his name) arrived on Apple TV+ last year when we needed him the most.
Amid a tough year, the gregarious coach played by Jason Sudeikis was a fountain of positivity.
The show followed an optimistic American football coach as he brought his sunny disposition to English Premier League soccer team AFC Richmond.
Ted Lasso season 2 is set to premiere its first episode on Apple TV+ on Friday, July 23.
Here are some of our favorite Ted quotes:
To celebrate, we thought we'd share words of wisdom from the coach himself.
“
If God wanted games to end in a tie, she wouldn't have invented numbers."
“
What I can tell you, is with the exception of the wit and wisdom of Calvin and Hobbes, not much lasts forever."
“
Takin’ on a challenge is a lot like riding a horse. If you’re comfortable while you’re doin’ it, you’re probably doin’ it wrong.”
“
I promise you, there is something worse out there than being sad. And that is being alone and being sad. Ain’t no one in this room alone.”
“
I think if you care about someone and you got a little love in your heart, there ain’t nothin you can’t get through together.”
“
You know what the happiest animal on Earth is? It’s a goldfish. You know why? It’s got a ten-second memory. Be a goldfish, Sam.”
“
Be curious. Not judgmental.”
