RANDALL PARK CONJURES JIMMY WOO MAGIC

WANDAVISION:

Move aside Doctor Strange, the real Sorcerer Supreme has re-entered the MCU with some card tricks in WandaVision.

Marvel’s first Disney+ series, WandaVision, features noteworthy Avengers like Scarlet Witch and Vision.

In its fourth episode, the show also brought back a beloved tertiary character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe: FBI Agent Jimmy Woo, played by Randall Park.

Jimmy Woo has a long history in the comics, having first appeared in Yellow Claw #1. He was later brought back as an Agent of SHIELD.

In the MCU, Woo made his debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp as the FBI man in charge of making sure Scott Lang stayed under house arrest.

However, he was more concerned with perfecting the magical sleight of hand that Scott was learning during his time in “quarantine.”

As it turns out, Woo must have dedicated some serious time to Scott’s magic tricks!

He produced his business card for SWORD agent Monica Rambeau in WandaVision episode 4 with a flourish, delighting viewers.

The actor has since revealed that he learned the card trick in a couple of days so that no CGI was necessary.

Park has enjoyed an extremely successful acting and comedy career outside of the MCU.

Fresh Off the Boat

He is still perhaps best known for portraying Kim Jong-un in Seth Rogen’s ill-fated 2014 comedy, The Interview.

He also played Louis Huang in Fresh Off the Boat, Governor Danny Chung in Veep, and Dr. Stephen Shin in Aquaman.

Aquaman

Park appeared in one of The Office’s most infamous cold open pranks, in which Jim and Pam somehow convince Dwight that Park’s character is really Jim.

We’d love to see Agent Woo and Kat Denning’s Darcy Lewis get an X-Files-style procedural spinoff in the MCU.
