Inglourious Basterds: rumoured DVD and Blu-ray release date

Mark the middle of December in your diary for the arrival of Inglourious Basterds on DVD and Blu-ray…

It's become Quentin Tarantino's highest grossing film at the box office, even if it seems to have delighted and frustrated the man's fans in roughly equal measure. But for those who missed its cinema run, where it's currently brought in a worldwide take of over $230m, Inglourious Basterds is being prepared for a DVD and Blu-ray release in the middle of December.
Our understanding is that the UK release is being pencilled in for Monday 14th December, with the US getting the film on disc the day after, on Tuesday 15th December. There's been no word yet on extra features or anything of that ilk, although our firm money is on a fairly empty disc this year, ahead of a more comprehensive special edition in the future. That's not the most dangerous bet we've ever taken on, of course.
In case you've missed the film thus far, here's Michael Leader's take on it, along with our report from the Quentin Tarantino press conference promoting it.
