SUCCESSION SEASON 3

THE END OF THE ROY EMPIRE?

By Alec Bojalad

Succession season 3 is set to end this week. Will everyone in the Roy family make it out alive?

Due to an abbreviated COVID production schedule (and presumably the cost of filming on location in Italy), Succession season 3 is only nine episodes long.

The ninth and final episode, “All the Bells Say” airs this Sunday, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

With the penultimate episode foreshadowing a bleak end for Kendall Roy, here is what season 3’s final hour could entail for each character.

Some ominous comments from the cast about how “dark” the finale is, combined with Kendall’s suicidal ideations, suggest Jeremy Strong could be leaving the show for good. We think he will.

KENDALL

Author of the dick pic heard around the world, Roman enters this finale back to square one in terms of getting on his father’s good side. Will he finally realize the struggle isn’t worth it?

ROMAN

Shiv jumped on the opportunity to…well, shiv her brother Roman. That in theory should buy her some cachet with Logan. But we all know it won’t.

SHIV

A popular season 3 fan theory posits that Tom Wambsgans is working with the federal government and wearing a wire. Now would be a good time to find out.

TOM

Regardless of how the power players shake out in this season 3 finale, it’s a good bet that Cousin Greg will keep on Greggin’ along in the background.

GREG

Remember how Logan’s poor health was at the very center of this show’s pilot? Perhaps a finale would be a good time to bring that back. But the Roy kids would never get so lucky.
