ERIN KELLYMAN: STAR WARS TO THE MCU AND BEYOND

By Kirsten Howard

Erin Kellyman has already popped up in two big Disney franchises and is set to continue working with the Mouse House.

English actress Erin Kellyman got her start playing young characters on acclaimed UK TV series like Raised By Wolves and The Coopers Vs The Rest.

She got her big break back in 2018 when she was cast as marauder Enfys Nest in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The Han Solo prequel didn’t do as well as Disney and Lucasfilm hoped it would, but Kellyman’s character was considered to be an interesting addition to the Star Wars franchise.

Kellyman returned to work with Disney on Marvel’s latest action-packed Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

In the Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes spinoff show, she plays Karli Morgenthau, the mysterious leader of a global terrorist group called the Flag-Smashers.

Imbued with super strength and enough intelligence to outwit heroes and villains alike, Morgenthau finds herself in danger when she crosses the wrong people.

After The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Kellyman will star as Jade in Disney’s TV adaptation of the 1988 dark fantasy adventure film, Willow.

Warwick Davis will reprise his role as Willow Ufgood in the Disney+ series, which will revisit the Mother World of Ron Howard’s classic 80s movie.

The new Willow story takes place many years after the events of the original film, and will introduce many new characters, including Kellyman’s Jade.

Since Ron Howard, who directed both Willow and Solo: A Star Wars Story, is an executive producer on the show, Kellyman should find herself working amongst friends!

Willow is set to start streaming on Disney+ in 2022.
