Will and Grace Revival Official At NBC

The hit NBC sitcom is returning for a 10-episode season.

Revivals are hot. Just ask Netflix; their quarterly subscription numbers were higher than expected, no doubt in part to the revival of shows with devoted audiences like Gilmore Girls and Full House. Every network has gotten in on the game, with examples as varied as unexpected players like CMT scooping up Nashville when ABC cut the cord or series as old as Twin Peaks making a surprise return at Showtime.

Not to be left behind on TV’s latest hot trend, NBC has confirmed the long-gestating rumors that Emmy-winning series Will and Grace will return for 10 episodes. Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally will all be reprising their signature roles of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen and legendary TV director James Burrows will also be returning to helm all 10 episodes. Burrows was an integral part of the show’s success, responsible for directing every episode of the sitcom’s original eight seasons.

Also back are series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, who will serve as showrunners and executive producers. “Dave and I are absolutely thrilled about the opportunity to write what Will, Grace, Jack and Karen are thinking about in 2017,” said Mutchnick in a statement.
