The list of good-to-great TV comedies seems to be exponentially expanding every year. We try to be tastemakers and point out the very best television has to offer, but there are not enough hours in the day to binge all the great shows on TV. We need your help in determining, without a shadow of a doubt, the absolute best TV Comedies of 2018.
For the second straight year, we’re asking our readers to help us by participating in our annual vote (you can find the 2017 list of winners here). Here’s how you can do your democratic duty:
How It Works
The Best Comedies Award will recognize the top 10 shows of the year, as well as honorable mentions, as voted by the Den of Geek staff, a panel of celebrity guest voters, and a reader’s choice ballot. On each ballot, the voter will select their five favorite comedies, ranked one (best) through five. A weighted point total is assigned to each ranking.
Last year, 12 Den of Geek staff members voted. Our panel of expert guest voters included: Andy Borrow (Executive Producer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Lily Burns (Executive Producer, Search Party), Sarah-Violet Bliss (Co-creator, Search Party), Dave and John Cherin (showrunners of Fox’s The Mick), and Rhys Thomas (Director/EP, Documentary Now, the winner of our 2016 Best Comedy Vote). The Good Place took home the 2017 Den of Geek Reader’s Choice Award for Best Comedy.
