The woman of Undergroundare front in center when it comes to the action in the previous teaser trailer for the Season 2 of the period drama called “Rescue”. Check it out…

We’ve also got a short teaser for the new season, which highlights the prominent role of escaped slave, Civil War spy, and all-around badass Harriet Tubman (played by Aisha Hinds, in a recurring role).

We also get some clues that Cato (Alano Miller) is not as dead as we’d been led to believe come the end of Undergroundseason 1.

Underground Season 2 Release Date

Undergroundseason two has a trailer and premiere date! WGN America’s hit period thriller about American slaves fighting for freedom on the Underground Railroad will premiere its second season at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 8th.

Underground Season 2 Cast

Undergroundseason 2 will seemingly pick up where season 1 left off, with Rosalee (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) heading back to rescue Noah (Aldis Hodge) and the rest of the Macon 7.

The season will also feature returning cast members Amirah Vann, Jessica de Gouw, Christopher Meloni ,and Marc Blucas. Recurring guest stars include: Jasika Nicole, DeWanda Wise, Michael Trotter, Jesse Luken, Sadie Stratton, and John Legend.

While season one of the WGN series was filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the second season moved production to Savannah, Georgia. All filming on season two is done.
