Alexandria, the Hilltop, the Kingdom, the Saviors, and the Heapsters are at all out war in The Walking Dead season eight. After an assault on the Sanctuary, Rick and his men have moved on to the second phase of their attack on Negan and the Saviors. Two episodes into the season, there’s still much to do in this war, and we’re still waiting to see how the villain will strike back at his enemies. He undoubtedly has some tricks up his sleeve, including a prisoner in Father Gabriel.
In the meantime, there are some character unaccounted for, namely the treachorous and cowardly Gregory, who tried to turn the Hilltop against Rick and Maggie by swearing allegiance to Negan. Of course, that didn’t go over very well for him. The Hilltop soldiers decided to stand with their new leader, which puts Gregory in a pretty tough position. He’s lost his only bargaining chip, the settlement he helped build, and now the Saviors know he’s useless. It’s only a matter of time before he become walker meat.
The last time we saw Gregory, he was making a run for it, leaving Gabriel behind to die after the gun-toting priest tried to save him from the walker horde. Where has Gregory gone since then? Well, we have the answer in a new exclusive clip of season 8 episode 3, “Monsters.”
