The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2

Amazon’s sleeper comedy hit is coming back for more! The streaming giant (and everything else giant for that matter) has ordered The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2. In fact, they’ve ordered a third season as well.

Now that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is officially an Emmy-award wining comedy, there should be a decent amount of new watchers coming to the fold. Rest assured, new viewers, that you’re getting in on the ground floor of something really fun.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel comes from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. It stars Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a Jewish housewife living in 1958 New York City. After Midge’s husband Joel (Michael Zegen) tries his hand at stand-up comedy, Midge discovers that she has a bit of a flair for the fledgling comedic art form as well.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 1 followed Midge through the world of ’50s New York stand-up comedy where she gained a manager, Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein), honed her craft, and even met some real life stand-up comedy titans like Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby).

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 will continue Midge’s stand-up journey as she juggles her new burgeoning stardom, her relationship with her ex, and fallout from a roast of character comic Sophie Lennon (Jane Lynch).

The Marevlous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 Release Date

Amazon was characteristically cagey about when we’d get The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2. Sherman-Palladino assured reporters at this year’s Emmy’s that the show would still debut this year. Looks like she was right! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 2 debuts on December 5.
