Star Trek: Short Treks Get Trailer, Release Dates & Synopses

Characters explored in the 10-15 minute shorts include Tilly, Saru, and Harry Mudd.

We learned at San Diego Comic Con that, while Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 won’t be premiering until next year (no new Spock incarnation until then), we will be getting some stories set in the Disco universe this fall. CBS All Access has made a series of Disco shorts, known as Star Trek: Short Treks, that are set to “air” starting on October 4th, on CBS All Access.

Each “trek” will run for 10-15 minutes and focus on a single character, including: Mary Wisemans Tilly, Doug Jones’ Saru and Rainn Wilson’s Harry Mudd. (Sadly, no L’Rell, though we did gather some details about what she will be up to next season at SDCC…) Underground‘s Aldis Hodge will play a new character named Craft in the second short set to premiere.

Check out the just-released teaser trailer…

CBS All Access also announced the titles and synopses (via TVLine) for each of the four Short Treks episodes.
