Sherlock Season 3 Gets a US Premiere Date

Fans wondering when we can finally see the third season of the BBC's Sherlock don't need to worry! A premiere date has been set!

After what seems like an endless wait (thanks in no small part to films like Star Trek Into Darkness and The Hobbit taking up a chunk of their time…the less said about The Fifth Estate, the better), Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will return as Holmes and Watson for a third season of the BBC’s Sherlock in 2014. As for when US audiences can hope to see them? January 19th at 10 pm! You may now set your DVRs accordingly.Rebecca Eaton, producer of PBS’ Masterpiece described Sherlock‘s new episodes as “fantastic” and “jaw dropping.” Eaton wnt on to say that “They are like small movies. Benedict and Martin are so in their Sherlock-Watson groove. They are so comfortable with that relationship it’s like being in the room with them.”Still no word on a BBC premiere date, which will likely be a little earlier. Little is known about the third season other than the fact that the Mark Gattis penned first episode will be based on Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of the Empty House” and will (hopefully) explain how Sherlock faked his death at the end of season two! More on this as we get it! Source: Entertainment WeeklyLike us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for all news updates related to the world of geek. And Google+, if that’s your thing!
