“London needs Sherlock. Instead it has you.”
Not exactly the most motivational words to sell the new Sherlock escape room, but if you’re a fan of the show and you reckon yourself a bit of a super-sleuth, you’ll probably want to check it out the new teaser video below anyway.
Launching in October, in London, the immersive game will give you the rare chance of being locked in a room with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman for 90 minutes (on a screen, anyway).
Created in part by showrunners Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the sets for Sherlock: The Game Is Nowwere first teased at Comic Con – including this perfect recreation of 221B Baker Street.
Players will be able to move through multiple sets from the show, solving puzzles, “interacting” with the cast (via specially recorded content) and presumably trying to get as many hints about the next series as they can.
The promo does mention that Moriarty is the one “causing trouble”, so that either means that he helped set up an escape room before he died, or that he’s a coming back as a zombie. Or that he’s not dead at all…
