Jason Momoa is getting his feet wet(ter) on television with Apple. The Aquaman star and Game of Thrones alumnus headlines See, a sci-fi action addition to the tech company’s increasingly-impressive scripted series stable, arriving as a showcase offering for its brand-new streaming platform, AppleTV+.
The series has Momoa starring in what’s described as an “epic, world-building, futuristic” drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. Additionally, The Hunger Games film franchise director Francis Lawrence has directed the eight-episode series.
Apple must be satisfied with how See‘s inaugural season turned out, since it ordered a second season of the series back in mid-October, well before Season 1’s debut.

Apple TV’s See Details
See is set in a future when the human race has lost its sense of sight, and society is forced to discover new ways to socialize, build, hunt, and survive. The status quo is upended when a set of twins are born with the ability to see. Momoa will star as Baba Voss, a fearless warrior, leader and guardian.
Here’s the full, official description from Apple:
“In the far future, a virus has decimated humankind. Those who survived emerged blind. Jason Momoa stars as Baba Voss, the father of twins born centuries later with the mythic ability to see—who must protect his tribe against a powerful yet desperate queen who believes it’s witchcraft and wants them destroyed. Alfre Woodard also stars as Paris, Baba Voss’ spiritual leader.”
Along with headliner Jason Momoa, the cast also consists of names such as Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049), Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage), Yadira Guevara-Prip (Supernatural), Archie Madekwe (Informer), Nesta Cooper (Travelers), Hera Hilmar (Mortal Engines) and Christian Camargo (Penny Dreadful).
Steven Knight and Francis Lawrence will serve as executive producers alongside Chernin Entertainment’s Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo.
