SEAL Team Season 2 Renewed

Sky One's SEAL Team will be back for a second season, it's been confirmed...

David Boreanaz and Max Thieriot should be popping some corks this week – their series SEAL Team season 2 is confirmed. CBS confirmed the news yesterday, giving the new high stakes show, starring the erstwhile Bones and Bates Motel lads, a surprise early renewal.

“These exciting new dramas have been sensational additions to our schedule, are striking all the right notes creatively, and really connect with our viewers. SEAL Team has strengthened our Wednesday line up – routinely winning its time period with over 10 million viewers and allowing us to build an even more powerful night”, said Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, in a statement. “We congratulate the talented casts and producers on an amazing year as we look forward to their return next season.”

Boreanaz and Thieriot star as Jason Hayes and Clay Spenser respectively in the military drama series, which follows Bravo Team, a sub-unit of the United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group, which happens to be just about the most elite unit of Navy SEALs, as they plan and carry out nail-bitingly dangerous missions around the world, and how the fallout from that situation goes on to affect their families back home.
