Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesn’t premiere until September 17, but Nickelodeon clearly has a good feeling about it. So good that they’ve already announced that Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 2 will begin this fall, right around the time the first season is hitting the airwaves.
There’s not much else to report at the moment, considering that we haven’t even seen the first episode of the show yet, but we know that the new TMNT series “follows the Turtles on different adventures as they master new powers, encounter absurd mutants and battle bizarre villains, each with their own motivations. Ranging from mystics, mutants and madmen, new creatures and villains emerge to take on the brothers in battles across New York City.”
It also features an impressive voice cast, which includes Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raph; Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leo; Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donnie; Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Mikey; Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil; Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter; and John Cena as new villain, Baron Draxum.
Nickelodeon also announced renewals for Henry Danger, Knight Squad, The Dude Perfect Show, and Hunter Street.
Expect Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 2 to bring its next 26 episodes in late 2019.
