Like a particularly sneaky Lannister whose name begins with “Ty,” HBO knows just how to lure us in with promises of riches, happy wedding celebrations, or even new footage of Game of Thrones Season 4. And as sure as winter and dragons, we will always keep coming back for more. In anticipation of their upcoming 15-minute behind-the-scenes special, Game of Thrones Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing, HBO has released the below promo for the event. However, it is also stuffed with snippets of interviews and, even more enticing, new footage of Season 4, including Joffrey displaying to Tyrion just exactly what he thinks about reading literature, and a late-night rendezvous between Jaime and Cersei.
Game of Thrones is based on the bestselling book series by George R.R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire, and follows multiple families and clans vying for power in the medieval fantasy world of Westeros. Game of Thrones Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing airs Sunday, February 9, at 8:45pm ET/PT, right before True Detective.
