Kenan Thompson is reteaming with a former Nickelodeon exec on a new live-action sketch show for children.
The longtime SNL actor and Nickelodeon alum will serve as executive producer on a series titled Skoogle, from a media company called pocket.watch.
Albie Hecht, the former Nickelodeon President of Entertainment, will also serve as an executive producer. Hecht is responsible for a number of Nickelodeon classics, including All That, which Thompson starred in for five seasons from 1994 through 1999.
Thompson will be directly involved in the sketch series. He is set to voice a “Siri/Alexa-like” digital assistant to help the kids in the show. The focus of the show will have a heavy digital aspect to it.
Having spent five seasons on All That and 14 and counting on Saturday Night Live, Thompson will have a chance to influence the next generation of sketch comedy with Skoogle.
