FX Drops New Trailer for American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson

O.J. writes a suicide note in new teaser trailer for American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson

“Don’t feel sorry for me. I’ve had a great life. Made great friends. Thanks for making my life special and I hope I’ve helped yours. Peace and Love,” we hear as a pen drags across creamy paper in the new teaser trailer for FX’s American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. It sounds like a suicide note and bodes ominous doings in the upcoming miniseries.

Previous teasers showed John Travolta, as defense attorney Robert Shapiro, asking a new client his usual question before taking a case and O.J., played by Cuba Gooding Jr., questioned while hooked up to lie detector equipment. The third clip featured Sarah Paulson, as prosecuting attorney Marcia Clark, promising that the football hall of famer was not going to get away with murder.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson also stars Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, Selma Blair as Kris Jenner, Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, Bruce Greenwood as Gil Garcetti, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, Nathan Lane as F. Lee Bailey and Bruce Greenwood as Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, the limited series is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers.

“It explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution overconfidence, defense shrewdness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt,” reads the official synopsis.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson was written by Golden Globe-winning producers Alexander and Karaszewski (Big Eyes, The People v. Larry Flynt).

It is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin.The limited series comes from Ryan Murphy, who brought us American Horror Story.

American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson will debut on FX in early 2016.
