Have you all forgot about the one who knocks? Well, he’s knockin’ again.
Breaking Bad premiered its first episode on January 20, 2008. It quickly went on to become one of the finest television dramas of all time. Now some ten years later, big portions of the cast and crew will be reuniting at San Diego Comic-Con to celebrate a job very, very, very, very, very well done.
Stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Anna Gunn, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Betsy Brandt, Jonathan Banks and RJ Mitte along with creator Vince Gilligan will all reunite at SDCC this summer. That’s just about every single person involved in the cast (unless you always maintained that Bogdan was secretly a main character) and their intrepid showrunning leader.
The group will join up for a Q&A session on Thursday, July 19 at 4:30 PT in the mythical Hall H. No word on who will run the panel yet though Gilligan, himself, is more than capable. Breaking Bad last appeared at Comic-Con just prior to the debut of its final season in 2013.
EW exclusively reported the news of the Hall H SDCC reunion, which makes sense as EW already had the whole cast and Gilligan gathered together for a fascinating feature on Breaking Bad ten years later. It’s worth clicking through for some of the new portraits alone.
With Breaking Bad officially in the fold, San Diego Comic-Con 2018 is shaping up to be a very Vince Gilligan Albuquerque-verse event.
Bad spinoff prequel Better Call Saul has a panel set for the same day, July 19, at 3:30 PT – an hour before the Breaking Bad panel. Odenkirk, Banks, Esposito were all set to attend alongside exclusivelySaul actors Rhea Seehorn, Michael Mando, and Patrick Fabian. Gilligan and Saul showrunner Peter Gould will participate in the Q&A as well.
Might as well have moved all of SDCC to Albuquerque this year.
