Black Panther Takes Over Next Season of Avengers Animated Series

Black Panther will take center stage in Avengers: Panther Quest next season.

Next year, Marvel fans will have more Black Panther than they can shake a vibranium stick at. On top of the film which arrives in February 2018, T’Challa will also make an impact on Marvel’s world of animation.

At the Marvel Animation panel at New York Comic Con, Senior Vice President of Animation and Family Entertainment Cort Lane announced that the next season of Disney XD’s popular Avengers series will be entitled Avengers: Panther’s Quest. The season will also feature Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Ms. Marvel and Black Panther’s sister Shuri. This is Shuri’s first appearance in animation and Lane promised that, “T’Challa and Shuri’s relationship will be the core part of the series.”

Black Panther is playing a key role in Marvel’s current season of Avengers: Battleworld as T’Challa leads his own team of Avengers while the core team is elsewhere. If all that isn’t enough to thrill fans of the King of Wakanda, Lane also announced that Black Panther will also star in Marvel’s next LEGO special. Yes guys, a Wakanda made of Legos. Truly we have lived to see the Golden Age.

So a film, a starring role in a season of the animated Avengers series, and a Lego special of his very own. Right now, for T’Challa, it’s good to be king.
