The ninety-minute drama will air on Thursday the 21st of November at 9pm on BBC Two. That’s two days before the anniversary proper, which will host the extended special episode, The Day of the Doctor.

The Mark Gatiss-scripted origins drama takes in the behind-the-scenes creation of the first few episodes of Doctor Who, and stars David Bradley in the lead role of William Hartnell. Take a look at what to expect, below, and tell us that’s not an uncanny likeness. Roll on the 21st!
