Fist Fight: Red Band Trailer for Ice Cube Comedy

Ice Cube and Charlie Day are teachers looking to resolve their differences violently and hilariously in the Fist Fight trailer.

Upcoming comedy Fist Fight puts Charlie Day in a familiar position: stuck in a scenario in which he doesn’t belong. Whether it’s the perpetually awkward situations of TV’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, developing anti-Kaiju tech in Pacific Rim, to enduring the insane advances of Jennifer Aniston in the Horrible Bosses films, Day excels at being a guy not comfortable in his own skin. It’s a signature skill on full display in the Fist Fight trailer, in which Day prepares for the film’s titular tussle with none other than Ice Cube!

There’s a brand new Red Band trailer, so, you know what that means.

Directing Fist Fight is Richie Keen, a helmer who’s worked with Charlie Day on 11 episodes of It’s Always Sunny, along with episodes of other television comedy shows such as Angie TribecaSirensMaronNew Girl and Shameless. However, Fist Fight marks Keen’s debut feature-length film, working off a script by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser. However, arguably, the plot does seem to resemble the 1987 high school romp Three O’Clock High, which starred Casey Siemaszko (3-D from Biff’s gang in the Back to the Future films,) as a nerdy student desperately trying to avoid an eerily similar looming fight challenge from an unbeatable bully.

Fist Fight Release Date

Fist Fight has Charlie Day seriously sweating some fisticuffs with a man who came Straight Outta Compton when the film hits theaters on February 17, 2017. Check out the trailer below!
