Captain Marvel: Behind the Scenes Photos and Video Reveal Nick Fury

The next major addition to the MCU is now filming. Get ready for Captain Marvel

2019’s first planned MCU instalment, Captain Marvel, is still an enigma wrapped in a mystery, for the most part. We know it’ll be set in the ’90s, that superhero Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) will have an extremely of-the-time ‘Rachel Green from Friends‘ haircut, that “she will be by far the strongest character” the MCU has witnessed (according to Kevin Feige) and that making a blockbuster set further back in the timeline allows Marvel to bring back a few old faces, like Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou, who are returning to play villains who both met their maker in James Gunn’s 2014 gamechanger, Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Also back? One Agent Coulson of SHIELD, and one Mr. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who can be seen here in these new behind the scenes images, talking to Carol about..something (it also looks like she might be protecting him, if you enlarge the pics):

A bystander took a video of the same scene, which you can see below…

That costume really looks awesome, doesn’t it?

We’ve got so many questions about Captain Marvel, but the biggest one has to be: what happens in this film that removes her from the known MCU equation at the close of her origin adventure, and why has no one felt the need to contact her until now? Is she the answer to reversing the devastating events of Infinity War? We won’t theorize too much here – that’s what the comments are for, no?

Captain Marvel opens on March 8, 2019. The full schedule of upcoming Marvel movies can be found here.
