At The Game Awards 2017, it was announced that the second story DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Champions’ Ballad, is out now!
This story DLC has remained a bit of a mystery. Recently, Reggie Fils-Aime spoke to Kotaku and did confirm that Breath of the Wild‘s next piece of DLC will expand the base game’s story and will focus on the mythical champions who played a key role in Breath of the Wild.
We also know that the DLC will still allow you to play as Link even though Zelda and the champions will be the primary focus of the narrative. The DLC will include a new dungeon and gear. The Champions’ Ballad is only available through the game’s expansion pass, which will set you back $20, but that also includes the first DLC pack, The Master Trials.

When Nintendo announced that Breath of the Wild would be the first major The Legend of Zelda game to receive DLC content, the reaction was far from overwhelmingly positive. There were a few #NotMyZeldas being bandied about.
Of course, that was before we knew that Breath of the Wild was going to be one of the greatest Zelda games ever made. Even the game’s DLC has been shockingly good thus far. We don’t expect The Champions’ Ballad to disappoint.
