The Game Awards is the video game industry’s biggest celebration of the year, honoring the latest and greatest in gaming. But it’s also the place where the biggest announcements of upcoming games and surprise reveals happen. The 2019 ceremony didn’t disappoint, bringing us quite a few bombshells no one saw coming. On top of a few new games headed our way in 2020, we also got one HUGE announcement from Microsoft.

1) Microsoft didn’t take the opportunity to present something new at The Game Awards for granted. In fact, it made the biggest announcement it possibly could. We finally know what the next-gen Xbox is called and what it looks like. Meet the Xbox Series X. Read more about the new console here.

2) Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is the continuation of the award-winning game from Ninja Theory. Watch the first trailer here!

3) A spiritual successor of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance is coming from the publishers of Dungeons & Dragons! It’s simply called Dark Alliance and you can read way more about it here.

4) Godfall is a new “looter-slasher” coming to the PS5. Read about the game here.

5) A new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake premiered at The Game Awards. Watch it here.

6) Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of the most highly-anticipated upcoming games for the Xbox One. You can watch a new trailer for the game here.

7) Gears Tactics was unveiled at E3 2018 and we finally have a new look at the game. Check out a new trailer here.

8) We knew that PlayStation was going to show a new Ghost of Tsushima trailer at The Game Awards and the footage didn’t disappoint, teasing a few story details about the titular Ghost that has us very intrigued indeed. Watch the new trailer here.

9) The first Riot-published single-player League of Legends has been announced. It’s called Ruined King and you can check out the debut trailer here.

10) The Clown Prince of Crime is coming to Mortal Kombat 11. In a new teaser, you can see him about to face off against Cassie Cage in Harley Quinn cosplay. Let’s just say the confrontation is going to be explosive. Watch it for yourself.

11) Speaking of Harley, if you’re excited about the new Birds of Prey movie, The Game Awards debuted a brand new teaser for the movie. Give it a look!

12) Ever wanted to play a game as Vin Diesel or Michelle Rodriguez. Now is definitely your chance. Fast and Furious Crossroads brings the high-intensity action franchise to world of gaming. Watch the first trailer here!

13) The Wolf Among Us 2 is being revived by the new Telltale Games. Will it live up to the promise of its predecessor? We don’t know, but at least we have this trailer.
