Ubisoft has released a new, short video detailing new Assassin’s Creed protagonist, Connor’s various weapons, or at least some of them. The clip, which doesn’t give all that much away, but is quite cool nonetheless, confirms that Connor’s primary weapons include the Assassin logo Tomohawk, which has featured so prominently so far, dual pistols and a bow and arrow, for long range, stealthy takedowns. Oh, and then there’s the small matter of a hidden blade, something many fans worried he’d decided to go without.
As well as the video, details of the Assassin’s Creed III Limited, or ‘Freedom’, Edition have also been released, and it’s certainly one of the more attractive premium editions we’ve seen in a while.
The set, which comes in a large, antique style box, includes the game, an Alex Ross-designed steel book case, George Washington’s notebook (with maps etc), a lithograph and a posed 24cm figurine of Connor looking all moody and Assassin-y.
The Freedom Edition will also include a couple of exclusive single player missions (Ghost of War and Lost Mayan Ruins), as well as a multiplayer character, the Sharpshooter. It’s and impressive bundle, and is a definite must for fans of the series.
As well as the Freedom Edition, there’ll be a cheaper, cut down ‘Join or Die’ Edition. This will include the Ghost of War mission, Sharpshooter character, Washington’s notebook and an Assassin medallion, and a collector’s box.
The most basic package will be the Special Edition, which will include the game and a single player mission called, A Dangerous Secret.
Let’s just hope the game lives up to the various extras it’s being bundled with.
