San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Trailers and Biggest News Roundup

We've rounded up the most important news, trailers, and exclusive footages that came out of SDCC 2019!

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 News

SDCC 2019 was the wildest year of the convention yet. Not only did we get trailers, casting news, and story details for some of our favorite and most highly anticipated series (looking at you, Watchmen) and movies, but we got a bit of comics news too, including a whole lineup of exciting X-Men books from Marvel and a new Adam Strange DC series from the team behind Mister Miracle. But all of these announcements pale in comparison to what might very well be the biggest panel Marvel Studios have ever pulled. On Saturday night, the studio revealed more than 10 new projects in the works for 2020 and 2021. Plus, it was revealed that a Blade reboot is on the way and Natalie Portman is returning to play the Mighty Thor in Taika Waititi’s next Thor movie! It doesn’t get any bigger than that.

This a big year in general for San Diego Comic-Con, which celebrated a major milestone: the 50th anniversary of SDCC. 2019 was about looking back at how SDCC went from a small hotel basement gathering when it was first conceived and organized in 1970, to becoming the Mecca of conventions today at over 130,000 annual attendance. SDCC 2019 certainly didn’t disappoint in terms of living up to its legacy.

The Den of Geek staff was once again on the ground at SDCC this year to bring you all the breaking news, convention highlights, Comic-Con trailers, and more, starting with our inside scoop into the upcoming juggernaut action movie Terminator: Dark Fate, which sees Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reprise their iconic roles.

Sarah Connor and The Terminator also grace the cover of the Den of Geek SDCC 2019 Special Edition Magazine, which attendees could pick up a physical copy of at Comic-Con. But if you missed the con this year, you can still read the issue for free digitally.
