DIY Cosplay Series: Learn How To Dress Like a DC Hero

Just in time for New York Comic Con, there's a DC-themed DIY series from Bluprint.

With New York Comic Con underway, we’ve featured some of the best cosplayers we can find inside the Javits Center. Not everyone is a cosplay pro, though. If you want to get into the world of cosplay but don’t know where to begin, Bluprint, NBCU’s lifestyle learning streaming service, is rolling out a DIY cosplay series in partnership with DC and Warner Bros.

The series is called Suit Up and helps fans honor DC’s iconic heroes with easy-to-make costumes that work for your next con or Halloween. Maybe you have actual superpowers and need a disguise, or you want to spice things up and roleplay as a heroic hottie. The possibilities are endless!

Suit Up is hosted by Marcy Harriell, a sewist, film, television and Broadway actress. In each episode, Harriell guides viewers through the patterns and design process to nail down the look of heroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman. Muscles not included.

Check out some of the sketches by Harriell below!
