Den of Geek is dedicated to serving the interests of today’s entertainment enthusiast. Founded in 2007, the site is packed with in-depth reviews, reporting and analysis of the latest entertainment news, exclusive interviews, informed opinion pieces, recommendation lists, and more. We are not robots and we don’t use AI, other than for admin tasks like transcription (and even then every transcript is checked and edited before it ever reaches publication).
We also produce a high quality award winning print magazine at least quarterly, with additional special editions for pop culture events throughout the year.

Reviews
All our reviews are written in house or specifically commissioned from freelancers who will attend advance screenings or be provided with screener links. All our freelancers are paid by Den of Geek for their work, and studios, distributors, and anyone involved in the production of the film or show have no influence or visibility of reviews ahead of publication. All commissioned articles will be reviewed and edited by staff before publication. All films are watched in their entirety. Where only a limited number of episodes of a TV show are available for review, this will be indicated in the article.
AI Policy
Den of Geek does not use generative AI or large language models to compose, edit, or otherwise influence editorial copy.
Additionally, the company disallows the uploading of existing Den of Geek editorial material into such services for analysis, summarization, or feedback. Examples of AI and LLM services include but are not limited to ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and DeepSeek. While emerging technologies like AI may have legitimate applications in digital media publishing, we believe it is important to preserve our “By Experts. For Fans” mission statement by providing human perspectives to readers. All Den of Geek contributors are required to consent to this policy before producing content.
Advertising
The site is supported by paid advertising which has no bearing or influence on our editorial content or strategy. We sometimes run sponsored content which is paid for by advertisers. When content is sponsored it will be clearly marked as sponsored and who the sponsor is will be indicated.
