Nokia Exclusive Man Of Steel Trailer has Tons of New Footage

A heavy emphasis on Russell Crowe as Jor-El and lots of Kryptonian technology and spacecraft make Nokia's exclusive Man Of Steel trailer a real spectacle.

With just over a week left until the June 14 premiere of Man of Steel, you would almost think that Warner Bros. have shown all they’re likely to show us from Zack Snyder’s impending Superman reboot. It would appear that they haven’t. Nokia’s exclusive Man Of Steel trailer seems to be a chronological exploration of a number of significant story beats in the film. While I wouldn’t say there are any spoilers here, there’s plenty of new footage. So what do we see in this one? Well, for starters, it appears that Russel Crowe’s Jor-El has at least one servant robot that looks an awful lot like Kelex and Kelor from John Byrne’s 1986 Man of Steel comic book mini-series. There’s some visual similarities to be found with Kal-El’s rocket as seen here and with Byrne’s design, as well. Oh, and did we mention that there’s action? In case there was any concern that Man of Steel might be as introspective as 2006’s failed attempt to restart the franchise, Superman Returns, this last trailer should put any lingering fears to rest.
Now, Warner Bros., not that we haven’t been enjoying all this, but perhaps you should save a little something for opening night?Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for all news updates related to the world of geek. And Google+, if that’s your thing!
