There's added Mulder & Scully on the new poster for the second X-Files movie...

20th Century Fox is set to unleash the second X-Files movie onto American audiences come the end of the week (and we get it the week after), and it’s unveiled a brand new poster that plays on two of the main reasons why fans will be going to see it.

The traditional X-Files logo is superimposed over a suitably serious-looking Mulder and Scully, and while it looks like Gillian Anderson has been a little bit over-Photoshopped there, it’s not a bad piece of work. Click on the thumbnail below for the full version.

Fox continues to keep details of the film’s plot under wraps, although if anyone is in London on Thursday 31st July, they can go and ask creator and director Chris Carter, along with producer-writer Frank Spotnitz, in person. The pair are doing an in-store signing at Forbidden Planet between 1 and 2pm – more details here.

The X-Files: I Want To Believe is out in UK cinemas on 1st August.
