WWE Superstar and Current Number One Contender Jack Swagger was arrested this past Tuesday in Gulfport, Mississippi on DUI charges. He was leaving a taping of WWE Smackdown! at the time of his arrest. He is also faced with charges of speeding and possession of Marijuana. Local Biloxi newpspaper, The Sun-Herald, has confirmed that though all three charges are misdemeanors, Swagger (real name Jacob Hager) must appear in court to face the DUI charge.
In what seems to be a reaction to these events, Swagger has been pulled from the card of WWE house shows this weekend. Though currently being pushed as a contender going into Wrestlemania, it appears Swagger's position on the card may be threatened. Engaged in an already controversial storyline, in which Swagger and his manager Zeb Colter are portrayed as Tea Party-like radicals, more criticism may be deemed unwanted as the biggest event of the year draws closer. This will likely be addressed, through story or his removal there from, on the coming Monday Night Raw which airs live on the USA Network at 8pm EST.
