Deadpool 2: Post-Credits Scenes You Didn’t See

Chris Evans? Hitler? Oh, Deadpool 2...you're so crazy.

This article contains Deadpool 2 spoilers.

There are several Deadpool 2 post-credits scenes, all in varying degrees of craziness. There’s the bit about turning back time (thanks, Cher!). The bit about fixing X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The Peter thing. The Green Lantern thing. All of the things, basically. We explained the deep symbolism of them all right here.

But what about the ones that didn’t quite make the cut?

“There were more X-Force interviews that were talked about,” co-writer Paul Wernick told Uproxx. “One was Chris Evans as Human Torch.”

While Chris Evans is beloved as Captain America these days, let’s not forget that he played Johnny Storm/Human Torch in two not-exactly-beloved Fantastic Four movies from the mid-2000s. He was replaced by Michael B. Jordan for the even LESS beloved 2015 movie (it’s a shame about that movie, because Jordan was great). So this would have been, in true Deadpool style, meta as can be. They never actually approached Evans, though.

Someone had the idea we actually did and we thought that was better,” Rhett Reese added. “But we definitely had a lot more X-Force interviews with bizarre, random people coming in to interview.”

But there was one idea that was actually filmed but didn’t make the cut.

“Deadpool goes back and kills baby Hitler at the very end,” Reese said. “That’s what was supposed to happen…We shot it and we put it in front of an audience. He’s got the crib and he’s standing in the German nursery and he’s leaning over the crib to do it and there was kind of this, ‘ohhhhh.’ And we thought we don’t want to leave the crowd on an ‘ohhhhh.’ So it ended up coming out.”

Ohhhh, indeed.
