It looks like the Ouya game console will launch later this year in June. The Android system will hit major retail chains, including Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop and Target.
Ouya's backers from the kickstarter campaign will receive their consoles much earlier, in March. Pre-orders for the console started yesterday, at the originally announced price of $99.99, which includes a touch-pad controller. Buyers can purchase additional controllers for $49.99 each.
"We want to support Ouya as best we can, both online and in physical retail, making sure there's visibility for the product, to see content and demo the box," said CEO Julie Uhrman.
I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these babies to see what kind of games it will offer.
