Wonder Woman prequel, Amazon, has been put on ice for the time being by The CW...

It's another case of always the bridesmaid, never the bride for Diana of Themyscira, as The CW puts its planned Wonder Woman prequel series, Amazon, "on pause" for the time being.

Along with a flurry of announcements about The Flash joining Arrow's second season in preparation for a potential spin-off series, The CW President Mark Pedowitz admitted that Amazon's "script isn't where we want it", and that "It's better to wait and get it right."

Nobody would disagree with him on that count, and though the project hasn't been binned, the news is another kick in the teeth to those impatient to see women superheroes in lead roles on the big and small screens.

I have always struggled with most of DC’s big heroes like
the flash aquaman and wonder woman as they and their alter egos are very two dimensional.
As I am reading I have found myself not caring what happens to them at all whereas
with the lesser known but brilliant Authorithy the characters are well fleshed
out and as a reader you have an emotional investment with them. Converting a
character with very little content to the big screen or TV becomes that much
harder.
