First pictures of Rutger Hauer in True Blood season 6

The hair, the pipe, the fob watch... Rutger Hauer is cutting quite the dash in these first on-set pictures from True Blood season 6...

Here we were thinking that Rutger Hauer would never top his peroxide thatch from Blade Runner for an iconic 'do', when what should appear but these first images of Hauer's character Macklyn in the forthcoming season of True Blood. That, friends, is a look. 

 

True Blood season six is due to begin on HBO this June.

True Blood gets a True Legend! Rutger is just one of the best actors of all time - his ad libbed speech in Bladerunner will never be surpassed, just sublime. I was working in a hotel in Edinburgh in the late 90s and Rutger was staying there as he was attending the Edinburgh Film Festival. He was just sitting quietly in the lounge when I walked past and saw him. He seemed so peaceful and I thought he must be glad of the quiet so I didn't speak to him, to my eternal regret! All the staff who came into contact with him said he was a lovely guy which I was glad to hear as you don't really want to take your heroes down from their pedestals! A class act...
