That TV series based on The Transporter? It's finally coming to US television thanks to TNT...

Well over a year ago, we were given the first trailer for Transporter: The Series, which then had an expected arrival time of October 2012. It's fair to say that the show has had something of a bumpy ride between then and now, jumping channels and changing showrunners like toothbrushes.

The latest word has it that Transporter: The Series, with Hunted and The X-Files' Frank Spotnitz now on board running things, will finally air in the US on TNT this autumn. Hot on the heels of season one will be the second run, which is due to go into production next month for a planned TNT and worldwide premiere in late 2014.

Dexter and Prison Break's Chris Vance steps into The Statham's shoes in the show, which tells the story of Frank Martin, action courier, and his "dangerous and difficult assignments".

More news as it arrives.
