Dominic Purcell joins TV’s The Flash
Prison Break star Dominic Purcell is playing The Flash’s enemy Heatwave…
It’s fair to say there’s been mixed reactions to what we’ve seen so far from CW’s The Flash. Some think it looks too cheesy, while others predict a hugely entertaining show. One thing we can all agree on is the brilliant casing of Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, though.
Another spot of intriguing casting today has seen Dominic Purcell confirmed as Micky Rory, aka Heatwave – a pyromaniac turned super-villain.
The episode marks a Prison Break reunion of sorts, with Purcell (who played Lincoln Burrows in every episode of the show), pairing up with his former on-screen brother Michael Scofield for the first time since the penitentiary-fleeing drama ended in 2009. Both will appear in the tenth episode of the show.
Scofield plays Captain Cold in the episode. It is believed that the two villains will team up to put some heat on The Flash. It certainly won’t be a cool situation for our protagonist.
The Flash premieres Stateside on 7 October, we’re still waiting on the where and when of the UK broadcast.
