First look at Grant Gustin in The Flash costume

It's red, it's tight, and it has a lightning-bolt. Here's a first look at Grant Gustin in The Flash costume...

When The CW announced its plans to introduce The Flash to its successful DC comic book hero series, Arrow, among the first questions asked was, 'What's the suit going to look like?'

Would it be the skin-tight muscle-job with lightning horns sported by John Wesley Shipp? Something shiny a la Adrianne Palicki's recent and much-criticised Wonder Woman get-up? A more relaxed sports take on the traditional red lycra?

Here's our answer, well, the shoulders-up part of it anyway (who knows what's going on beneath that neckline?). It's a leather-effect burgundy with flat lightning bolt ear symbols instead of sticky-out horns. Much more aerodynamic, that.

Awesome

Less latexy than the old TV series

He looks a bit like Matt Damon under that mask

Looking good so far.....

Love it

The headpiece reminds me a bit of Captain America, as it gives me some nice retro-vibes.

*cough*Daredevil

At least he hasn't got the black eye shadow - that always annoyed me.
