New seasons are on their way for Arrow, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals and more on The CW...

Coming to the aid of fans who can't bear to wait months for news on their favourite show's recommission is The CW, which has announced early renewals for deep breath now... Arrow, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and newcomers, The Originals and Reign.

That means second runs are on their way for The Originals and Reign, a third season for Arrow (which is currently The CW's biggest ratings success), a sixth season for The Vampire Diaries, and a whopping tenth season for Supernatural, the show that's approaching record longevity on the network.

By our count, that just leaves Beauty And The Beast and The Tomorrow People hanging in the balance... More renewal news as it arrives.

Excellent news I just wish we could get some definite news on whether Community is going to get a season six (& a movie) It seems unlikely but recently they powers that be have refused to rule it out and it seems to be about 50/50.

but....but...Arrow is just....SHITE !

Look, as much as I love Supernatural, it HAS... TO... END! They're killing it!

Great news about Arrow. Could this be the show that breaks the Summer Glau curse?

Season 8 was a great return to form 9 is OK so far can't really judge it yet.
I do agree it probably needs to end with 10, I want them to go hunting God to make him answer for his disappearance/negligence ala Preacher

Please copy and paste this into your comment - 'in my opinion.'

It's a great show, in my opinion.

I was really hoping this would be the last season of Supernatural, I've been with it since the beginning back when I was a kid. It just needs to end, 10 better be the last season because I don't think I could keep going after that, it just feels stale.

I don't particularly like Arrow either, but perhaps you could lodge your grievance with the show in a more critical fashion?

The plan for the current storyline was always to end it at season 10. However, the *original* plan was for the series to end at 5, so if it continues to be a ratings hit then a season 11 wouldn't be an impossibility.

I've always loved Supernatural, and whilst I don't *want* it to go, I recognise that it should perhaps throw in the towel at 10. Let this current storyline wrap itself up and then move on. There's a spinoff in the works after all. Hopefully they'll let the main series end with a little dignity and move on to that.

Yeah for 'Arrow' and 'Supernatural' which are awesome shows.

'The Tomorrow People' might still be renewed, but not being named with this bunch isn't a good sign. It might depend on how good the yet to premier 'The 100' and 'Star-crossed' will preform.

'Beauty and the Beast' is the lowest rated series on the network, even lower than the defacto cancelled 'Sex and the City' spin off 'The Carrie Daries'. A third season would be a suprise and the only hope is a 'Nikita'-like closure season of a few eps.

The CW has about 10 scripted shows each season. 'Arrow', 'Supernatural', 'The Vampire Diaries', 'The Originals' and 'Reign' take up half the roster. Taking into account that 'Arrow' spin off 'The Flash' and 'Supernatural' spin off 'Supernatural: Tribes' make it 7 scripted shows. This leaves room for 3 more shows. Appartly they are also working on a 'Hourman' (DC Comics) show. With Warner's intend to make a lot of DC Comics shows this might be not good news to a show like 'The Tomorrow People'.

Awesome news for Arrow. Also this mean season 4 is basically a guarantee because of syndication packaging!

getting more and more disinterested with Supernatural as time goes on, and I've been watching since season 1.

I do think a Lucifer or Death return would be in order, that'd be pretty cool imo. If they could just cut the repetitive trash they've been doing with each season lately I'd be more ok with it.
