Star Wars Rebels: new droid details revealed

Take a look at Star Wars Rebels' new droid and previously revealed baddie, here...

Further character details have been announced for Disney XD's forthcoming animated series, Star Wars Rebels, including the little droid below. Going by the name of Chopper, the little chap has been described by his creators as belligerent, rude and grumpy.

Here's what executive producer Dave Filoni had to say about the new droid, "He's a little rickety astromech made up of a bunch of spare parts because our rebels can't afford the nice new parts. He likes to do things the way that he wants, not necessarily the way the crew wants, or as fast as the crew would like, but he gets the job done. He's incredibly loyal [...] In short, if R2's your favourite dog, Chopper's a cat".

If you missed it a fortnight ago, here's the first picture of Star Wars Rebels baddie, The Inquisitor:

I'm cautiously optimistic about this thing. Nice character design, so far it sounds like good characters from the descriptions. Yeah, this might be pretty good

Hmmm... Sounds awful on paper, but I remain optimistic about the show as a whole (The Clone Wars was pretty enjoyable - more so than the prequel movies). I'm really looking forward to seeing what this 'Inquisitor' chappie is all about, though...

Hey, I might be late but I now see that the Inquisitor is a native to the planet where Obi-Wan fights when Order 66 is issued. Might we see more of it?

I know they are basing the visuals on the work of Ralph McQuarrie, but not liking the arms on Chopper.

Looking forward to Rebels though.

I bet The inquisitor and Darth Vader don't see eye to eye.

Some of the Clone Wars most excruciatingly unwatchable episodes were the ones based on R2 and his gang of droids. I have a bad feeling about this.
