Fox orders new Seth MacFarlane animated comedy, Bordertown

Seth MacFarlane is extending his animated comedy TV empire across the US/Mexico border...

In what certainly won't be a probing and sensitive look at the economic, cultural and racial tensions between the US and Mexico, Seth MacFarlane (he of Family GuyAmerican DadTed, and 'making everybody nostalgic for the days when James Franco presented the Oscars' fame) has a new show.

Called Bordertown, the animated comedy from MacFarlane and Family Guy's Mark Hentemann will air on Fox in the 2014-15 season, and tell the stories of the Buckwald and Gonzalez families, both living in a fictional southwestern town on the US/Mexico border. Bud Buckwald is a border patrol agent "threatened by cultural change", while Ernesto Gonzalez is an unspecifically employed "industrious Mexican immigrant".

The press release promises that Bordertown will take "a satirical look at the cultural shifts occurring throughout America". We, er, can't foresee any problems with that.

So a whole show making fun of Mexicans then?

Yup, I think that would be the case. Classic, boring and offensive MacFarlane there.

This could be awesome if it features a family consisting of an over weight man, an attractive woman, a teenage son and daughter, a talking baby (or immature alien), and some kind of talking animal!

FOX to be taken over by Douche MacFartlane in 2014 and to be renamed Douche TV.

they can make stupid cartoons about mexico as much as they like, the truth is, America is going to be in even worse shape than mexico in a very short space of time. Corruption in american government is every bit as bad as it is in mexico.
