Zoe Saldana cast in NBC's Rosemary's Baby

NBC's new take on Rosemary's Baby has cast its lead. Star Trek's Zoe Saldana will be playing Rosemary...

Even being charitable, very few people seem to think NBC's planned Rosemary's Baby miniseries is a good idea. Might the addition of AvatarStar Trek, and later on this year, Guardians Of The Galaxy's Zoe Saldana in the lead warm up anticipation for the project?

Saldana will be playing the role a Vidal Sassoon-ed Mia Farrow made her own in Roman Polanski's 1968 feature film of Ira Levin's horror novel. The miniseries, which sets the action in modern-day Paris, is to rework the tense tale of pregnancy and paranoia for release later this year or early next.

American Horror Story writer James Wong is co-scripting the series with Scott Abbott. Read more about Rosemary's Baby on Den of Geek, here.

A 'tense tale of pregnancy'?! Where is this going? Don't know the original story, but it sounds like Omen from the womb.

You're missing out if you don't take a look at the original film ASAP. A brilliant thriller.

It tickels my interest so yeah, I will give it a watch if I can find it.
