Orphan Black comic book series on its way
IDW is to publish a new series of comic books based on Canadian sci-fi show, Orphan Black...
A graphic novelisation of hit Canadian sci-fi Orphan Black is on its way from IDW, it's been announced. Chris Ryall, the publisher's editor-in-chief called the show "a captivating TV series" and "a perfect premise for comics", something with which we'd be hard pushed to disagree.
Orphan Black's success grew worldwide by word of mouth (well, by word of typing online) after its initial Canadian run on Space in March 2013. A great deal of its success should be laid at the feet of Tatiana Maslany, the talented actor on whose mercurial performance(s) the premise lives or dies. Not that the Emmy Awards, frustratingly for fans, have taken much notice of that.
Orphan Black is currently prepping its third season and showing no signs whatsoever of slowing down. See the first cover for the new comic book run, due to launch in early 2015, below.
