Rumour has it that ABC's highly secretive new series preparing to be filmed in Vancouver is the Marvel Peggy Carter spin-off...

Rumour shields up for this one, as no official confirmation has been given yet either by ABC or Marvel.

Comic Book Movie suggests that an ABC series in pre-production under the working title That Old Chestnut, currently gathering crew members in Vancouver, could be Marvel's much-discussed Agent Carter spin-off. According to CBM's source, the series will be a Marvel/ABC co-production.

Security levels around the project are said to be unprecedented, and the budget considerably higher than usual for an ABC series. Things are gearing up for principal photography to begin no later than June.

All this of course, as did the rumour earlier this month that Hayley Atwell had signed the paperwork to reprise her Captain America role in the new series, comes without official confirmation. If though, it turns out to be true, we could be looking at a network premiere for Agent Carter as early as this autumn.

More news as it arrives.
