Three more Jonathan Creek episodes confirmed

In addition to the Easter special, three new hour-long episodes of Jonathan Creek are filming this autumn...

(Insert rubbish gag about Jonathan Creek episodes being like buses. You wait three years for one, and then...)

In addition to the BBC's Easter weekend ninety-minute Jonathan Creek special, The Clue of the Savant's Thumb, three new hour-long episodes are due to begin filming this autumn according to Alan Davies' Twitter feed.

Davis made the announcement earlier this afternoon, with the following message: "Jonathan Creek fans, we are making 3 one hour eps in the autumn. No other details yet, hopefully I will be playing Creek."

The Clue of the Savant's Thumb, starring Davies, Smith, and guest Lacey Turner, is "a complex case involving a secret society, seemingly supernatural events at a girls' boarding school, and the miraculous disappearance of a body in front of three witnesses", due to air on BBC One this Easter.

We'll have more for you soon from writer David Renwick and actors Davies and Sheridan Smith, who launched the Easter special to press earlier today.

Oh my, yes please.

Excellent news! Can't have too much of a good thing.

Yeeessss!

Great to see JC back with something vaguely resembling a series, its been far too long coming and the 1 hour format seems to work better than the 2 parter or 90 minute special IMHO.
