First trailer for Eli Roth horror-thriller Hemlock Grove

Trailer Louisa Mellor 10 Jan 2013 - 10:03

Netflix horror fantasy series Hemlock Grove, executive-produced by Eli Roth, has its first full trailer...

Another one of our 25 in-development US TV shows to look out forHemlock Grove comes adapted from the novel of the same name by Brian McGreevy, and boasts Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever) as executive producer and pilot-director.

Each of horror-thriller Hemlock Grove's thirteen episodes will be made available on the US Netflix on the 19th of April, a satisfying release trend of which we heartily approve that promises to approximate the multi-episode nature of box-set viewing. In much the same way, Arrested Development's fourteen new episodes will all be released on Netflix the same day in May (date TBC).

Made for a reportedly healthy budget of around $45 million, Hemlock Grove, which stars Eric Northman's little brother Bill Skarsgard, and X-Men's Famke Janssen, tells the story of "the eccentric residents of a dilapidated former Pennsylvania steel town and the murder of 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell. Through the investigation, the town’s seamier side is exposed, revealing that nothing is what it seems...".

so its a re-hash of Twin Peaks then?

Have you watched Twin Peaks apart from a murder looks nothing like it.

I wonder if it's just in US or also same for international netflix.

YES! I have the box set. I just thought, sleepy town, declining industry, Murder, strange townsfolk with lots of skeletons in the closet. Sounds very much like TP to me.

A double treat for me; Famke Janssen, and a scary show! --GBJ

What about Netflix UK viewers then? We already have vastly cut down library (when compared to the US) - anyone know if we will get this?
