First teaser trailer for Ron D. Moore's Helix

A minimalist teaser trailer has arrived for forthcoming sci-fi series, Helix, from Battlestar Galactica's Ron D. Moore...

"The truth will spread"

Helix is just one of Syfy's new slate of genre projects, but seeing as it's the one by Battlestar Galactica executive producer Ron D. Moore, and the first of the new lot to boast a teaser trailer, it's currently our favourite.

Helix takes as its The Thing-like setting an Arctic disease control research facility where a secret team of scientists discover something nasty that could, in the words of the teaser, change the world. Its first season has thirteen episodes, and so keen was Syfy on the project, Moore's show went straight to series without passing go, collecting £200, or indeed, making a pilot. Fingers crossed it's a gamble that pays off richly.

We'll bring you news on air dates and more as soon as it arrives.

Am I the only one that watched this trailer thinking: Fringe?

No your not. I thought the same thing. It's the floating text. *sigh* I miss Fringe.

A nicely shot trailer, will look forward to the first episode

I like it!

In addition to BSG, Ron Moore did great work on Star Trek. Some of the best DS9 and TNG episodes were written by him.

Count me in!
