Want to die in Game Of Thrones?

Game Of Thrones author George R R Martin will kill off highest bidders for charity....

In an attempt to raise funds to support The Food Depot and Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary charities in New Mexico, the creator of A Song Of Ice And Fire (which, of course, went on to become Game Of Thrones), is offering one of the most bizarre pledge rewards of all time.

Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, George RR Martin is willing to write you into a future novel, and kill you off.

“You will certainly meet a grisly death,” promises Martin on his pledge page, as well as noting that the lucky winner will get to choose their doomed character’s role in Westeros.

There are plenty of pledging levels for those looking to help Martin’s charitable campaign but only two (one male, one female) can win this unique prize, which requires a hefty pledge of $20,000.

You can read about the TV characters we really don’t want to see killed off, including a few of Martin’s, here.

When I saw the title of this article - Want to Die in Game of Thrones? - I thought, "That could apply to any character in it."

Just the damn book George!

As an extra in two episodes I was always gutted I never got to die in some grisly fashion onscreen.

However, not as gutted as the day George visited the set and I got a photo taken with him, whilst I was decked out in full armour - and I didn't have the common sense to ask the f**king photographer for a copy!!

I think being an extra on the series is a far cheaper way to get yourself killed in Game of Thrones.

But it's for charity so grab you wallets! (Please don't get me wrong.)

I'm in danger of dying from waiting, never mind anything else.

If I were to pledge an extra 500, could he also put that "grisly death" quote inside a bunch of fortune cookies?

He could easily make more by demanding payments not to kill off characters.
If he said he had been planning to kill Tyrion off....
